Permanent Hair Extensions
|
There are many different types of hair extensions, clip on, slip on, temporary and permanent. Paris Hilton has permanent hair extensions, it looks like her real hair but she does have short hair. That is how a professional works, if they can make extensions look like the real thing then they did a great job. There are permanent and semi permanent. The semi permanent extension lasts for about 4 or 5 months. They all depend on how you take care of them. The better the care the longer they last.
The permanent extensions last about 16 or 20 weeks. The long-term extensions wear away with every wash, so try not to wash them a lot. It is hard because regular hair needs washing every 2 or 3 days, so you can’t image hair not being washed for a week or so. A lot of times certain shampoos and conditioner will wear away at the glue used to put in the extension. So ask your stylist, which shampoo you need and which one works best.
There are times with permanent extensions that you may need a touch up or two from time to time. This is normal, so don’t think you got a bad stylist just because you need a touch up. But only one to two should do. As long as you do proper maintenance on the extensions, like don’t use heat on the hair, wash your hair only two times a week and use the proper shampoo and conditioner. If the extensions get tangled, don’t pull them, gently untangle them never yank them. |
