  Health requirements for Extensions

Many people want to know if there are any health risks or safety risks involved in getting hair extensions. There really is no health requirement because with extensions they just clip onto your existing hair. Unless you are allergic to what material the hair is made from, there really are no risks at all.

Hair coloring or any type of dyes or chemicals may be a different story because of chemicals being put in your head. But there are no risks involved in just putting clips into your hair. With weaves you may have to be careful because some hair dressers use hot irons to attach the weaves to the head and you do hear a lot of cases in which women have been burned.

Even when putting in extensions yourself, there really isn’t anything that can cause any danger to you or to your hair. If you would like to put them on your self but you are not sure how or if there are any risks, ask your local beauty shop, someone may be able to help you but sometimes, if they aren’t the ones putting them in your hair then they may not help you.

Sometimes on the back of a hair care product, there may be an 800 number that you may be able to call and get some help. If there is ask them about any concerns that you may have. If they have a website, they may be also able to help you.
