Hair Weaving or Hair Extensions

Hair weaves and extensions are not exactly the same, weaves are a form of hair extension. A weave is basically used to make hair extensions or your own natural hair better or a different style all together. With hair extensions you would need a very thick thread that matches the color of the hair to affix the hair and make sure it is weaved in tightly. Extensions are snapped in or clipped in.
Weaves are mostly done to ethnic hair to make their hair look richer and fuller. With weaves they use a needle that looks like the needles used for upholstering furniture. The needle is curved and long. With weaves there is a special type of glue and with extensions there is no glue just clip on and you can go.
You can even weave with hair extensions or without. One difference in weaving and hair extensions is that you have to choose from standard colors with extensions, like blonde, red, brown, black but with weaving you can take a bit more liberty. Whether you choose weaves or extensions, they both can be a bit expensive but both styles will last a couple of months.
Weaving or hair extensions? One is really no better than the other; it all depends on how you wish your hair to look. With a weave it can enhance your hair and with extensions you can make your hair longer. Depending on what type of event you are attending and how you want to have your hair. |
