Taking Care of Synthetic Extensions
|
Now that you have extensions you have to be very careful on how you take care of these extensions. Just like regular hair, the extensions will begin to get dirty and sooner or later you will have to clean them. You don’t wash it as much as you would regular hair because you want to keep the extensions looking as new as possible. Before shampooing your hair extensions, remove any tangles very gently, do not pull, you will loosen the glue. Do not wash them until you have worn them for at least 4 or 6 wearing.
Do not use shampoo use add one teaspoon of a mild shampoo for every two quarts of cold water, never use hot water. Then soak the hair about 5 minutes and then swish the hair around in an up and down motion. Then rinse through twice in cold water only. Never use hot water!
Then gently spot with a towel to remove the excess water, never squeeze or twist. Then while still wet, spray in leave in conditioner, which is specifically made for synthetic hair goods. Then dry on a towel at room temperature. While you are wearing them try to use spray on leave in conditioner to keep them soft. The better the condition of the extensions the longer the extensions will last. |
